Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Per-Diem Pathology Office Coordinator to join the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Our team of pathologists, molecular diagnosticians, and researchers collaborates to provide precision cancer care. In this role, you'll support the daily operations of the team, helping to coordinate clinical workflows, track laboratory activities, and ensure efficient departmental operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with lab or hospital experience who is passionate about cancer research and precision medicine.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience working in a lab or medical/hospital setting
  • Microsoft Office Suite expertise; familiarity with databases and research materials
  • Excellent Excel skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operations and assist Office Coordinators and Senior Office Coordinators with workflow management and operational tasks.
  • Monitor and track laboratory orders, documentation, and case-related activities in Epic and other departmental systems.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, databases, logs, and records to support clinical operations and departmental reporting.
  • Assist with the receipt, tracking, documentation, and return of outside pathology materials.
  • Provide operational support for clinical workflows by coordinating routine requests and ensuring timely follow-up with appropriate teams.
  • Support departmental projects, process improvement initiatives, and other operational activities as assigned.
  • Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and administrative team members to help ensure efficient and accurate departmental operations.
