About The Position

Pathlink is seeking a full-time Medical Director to supervise the Department of Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Services located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This role involves a general surgical pathology practice with participation in Tumor Board and on-call coverage, but no autopsies. The daily case load is approximately 20-25 cases. PA support is available on-site for grossing, and there is laboratory front office support.

Requirements

• MD./D.O. with Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Ohio Medical License
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Laboratory Director
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Critical and strategic thinking
• Experience in medical staff functions
• Working knowledge of hospital operations, quality improvement and strategic planning
• The ability and desire to interact with medical center physicians, hospital administration and laboratory staff

Nice To Haves

• Experience in hematopathology a plus
