About The Position

We are seeking a locum Physician specializing in Pathology, specifically an Anatomical Pathologist, for a 1-month contract with potential for extension. The role is based in a laboratory environment and involves managing a daily caseload of approximately 20 general surgical cases and 5-10 cytology cases, including both gynecological and non-gynecological specimens. This position does not include on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Board certification in pathology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Active Washington state medical license.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately 20 general surgical cases per day.
• Manage 5-10 cytology cases per day, encompassing both gynecological (GYN) and non-gynecological (Non-GYN) specimens.
• Perform bone marrow assessments.
• Analyze gynecological cytology specimens.
• Analyze non-GYN cytology specimens.
• Analyze surgical pathology related to biopsies and excision specimens.
