About The Position
PathConnexx is a unique learning experience for a veterinary pathology resident currently enrolled in an anatomic pathology residency program and beginning their final year in the fall of 2026. Residents will gain real-world experience working virtually alongside our pathologists, who provide pathology diagnostics and consultation services to practicing veterinarians. During your externship, you will be integrated into our global professional pathology team with exposure to a wide range of interesting pathology cases, specifically selected for you based on your interests and goals for your program.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent.
- 18+ years of age.
- Two completed years of an Anatomic Pathology residency.
- A track record of academic success and potential.
- Familiarity with current topics and issues in diagnostic veterinary medicine.
- Resume or CV.
- Letter of intent or cover letter.
- 1 letter of recommendation from a current or previous advisor, mentor, or employer.
Nice To Haves
- Beginning their final year in the fall of 2026.
- Successful completion of Phase I of the ACVP board exam highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the digital diagnostic evaluation of specimens.
- Participate in related consultations.
- Participate in other pathology-related activities.
- Interact virtually with IDEXX pathologists of various backgrounds and areas of interest.
- Attend and participate in pathology-related meetings, as available (i.e. rounds).
