Responsibilities

• Supports pathologists, pathologist assistants, and histotechnologists in all related duties in surgical pathology.
• Handle ordering and packaging of send-out testing.
• Gathering information for service and billing.
• Slide distribution within the department.
• Handling messages from pathologists regarding patient testing.
• Answering phones.
• Acting as a liaison for courier services.
• Reconciling pending logs.
• Pulling slides and blocks as needed/requested.
• Managing temperature logs.
• Limited instrument maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
