Lead a team of about 10 bakers to meet daily production needs. Assist in scheduling team to meet business needs. Ensure the department meets production needs by delegating tasks to the team. Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make pastries and bread. Assist the team in creating new recipes, and train the team on how to produce the new products. Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality control. Assist with pastry and bakery production, maintaining cleanliness and appropriate supplies stocked. Creatively decorate pastries and bakery products. Ensure the highest quality of product is produced at all times and in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least 1 year of management experience.
At least 1 year of experience working in a fast paced baking environment required.
Ability to work the PM shift.
Knowledge of utilizing deck ovens, rack ovens, and proofers.
Availability to work late afternoons and evenings.
Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Great communication skills and work ethic.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
