About The Position

The Pastry Kitchen Assistant will support our busy pastry production team. This is a hands-on, physically active role focused on the foundational work required to keep our kitchen running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone with basic kitchen experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Some basic kitchen experience is required (e.g., dishwashing, general labor, material handling, or food prep).
• Ability to follow instructions carefully, work quickly, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• Reliability to work 25–30 hours per week, including [e.g., early mornings, weekends, or specific days].
• Punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work well as part of a fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Complete prep work assigned by Pastry Chef and the Assistant Pastry Chef.
• Assist with bulk scaling of dry ingredients, baking of cookies, and prepping raw materials for the baking team.
• Wash large mixing bowls, utensils, and machinery as needed; maintain a spotless and sanitized workstation.
• Sweep, mop, take out heavy trash and recycle, and ensure the kitchen meets health and safety standards.
• Organize storage areas, and rotate stock using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods.
• Maintain professional appearance and proper cleanliness standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
