About The Position

National Star Services, a 27-year-old facility management company with nationwide services, is seeking Pastry Helpers for their location in Des Plaines, IL. This role involves assisting the pastry production team, chefs, and cooks in various food preparation and assembly tasks while adhering to strict food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Own transportation to get to and from work.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the US.
• Must have experience working in a kitchen or manufacturing site.
• A Background check and Drug test will be conducted.
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting pastry production team, chefs, and cooks with mixing pastry products.
• Work in different stations such as (Fruit cutting station, economy packing station, juice station, basket station, assembling and plating food etc.).
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
• Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
