About The Position

The Pastry Chef is responsible for the preparation of pastry items, such as pastries, breads, desserts, ice cream, sorbet, mousse, custards and cakes for consumption at restaurants, banquets and events to ensure guests receive the highest level of service and quality on a daily and consistent basis. To be successful in this position, we're looking for an amazing people connector, who thrives on creating experiences and problem solving. This role as the Pastry Chef requires skills such as patience, empathy, and a desire to provide excellent service for our guests. Requirements

  • Completion of an approved Culinary Program or Apprenticeship.
  • Requires one to two years of increasingly responsible pastry experience in a hotel environment required.
  • Requires the ability to serve the needs of guests through verbal face-to-face interactions, contacts sometimes contain confidential/sensitive information, so requires the ability to use discretion.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills and commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Completes required training as scheduled.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.
