With wages starting at $17.50/hour, Pastry Chefs at Oaknoll do more than plan and prepare baked goods for our residents. Our Pastry Chefs help CREATE home for our residents, building lasting relationships with them and other staff members. Oaknoll is seeking a Pastry Chef to join our dining team. Hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 9am to 5:30pm, with some variation as needed to accomodate special events or the needs of specific recipes. Requirements

  • At least two years of baking experience
  • Expertise in pastry-making, dessert preparation, and baking techniques
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in culinary arts, pastry-making, or baking

Responsibilities

  • Preparing a variety of baked goods
  • Decorating and presenting pastries in a tasteful and beautiful way
  • Developing new recipes
  • Ensuring the quality of ingredients used
  • Staying up to date with pastry trends
  • Helping to ensure the bakery area and the kitchen is kept clean and adheres to health and safety regulations
