About The Position

This full-time position provides emotional and spiritual support for religious women living at Mount Notre Dame Health Center, a health care community for aging Sisters run by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The Sisters of Notre Dame are committed to providing compassionate and supportive care in a homelike environment for a community of religious women who dedicated their lives to teaching, service, and caring for the most vulnerable among us. The candidate will be a member of a team who are responsible for supporting the emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of our Sisters.

Responsibilities

  • Support and accompany Sisters as they navigate their aging process
  • Foster a home-like atmosphere in the context of community life
  • Facilitate respectful and constructive communication
  • Advocate for the needs and concerns of the Sisters, individually and communally
  • Promote and support the spiritual life of the community
  • Collaborate with the Moderator Team, Health Center staff, and Provincial Leadership
  • Provide support to a Sister's needs during end-of-life stages
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and beliefs of all members
