About The Position

This position is responsible for operating equipment to deliver paste, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to all company policies and safety regulations. The role involves manual labor, record-keeping, and teamwork within the production environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to understand and carry out instructions while performing manual labor related tasks.
  • Must be able to successfully use basic math and writing skills necessary to complete the required paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Empty tomato paste or tomatoes into the ribbon blender and transfer to the proper paste tank.
  • Follow instructions to achieve desired brix standards.
  • Open lids on paste bins to prepare for blending.
  • Keep proper records on paste Dumper sheets and account for all bins used.
  • Keep extractor and areas clean at all times.
  • Break down wooden bins and stack wood, tagging with appropriate supplier paper.
  • Sweep paste dock area.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Adhere to all Red Gold policies, rules, and regulations, including GMP’s and safety.
  • Work as a team player with members of the crew and others in the plant.
  • Monitor, record, and take appropriate actions for specific Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan and prerequisite program requirements.
  • Report food safety and quality issues to management.
