The Passenger Service Agent is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of weight and balance requirements, promptly handling customer service complaints with a focus on positive resolution, and completing all check-in procedures. This includes managing reservations, ticketing, seat assignments, airport announcements, and verifying international documentation. The role also involves assisting customers with special needs and unaccompanied minors. Agents operating jetways will work at heights over 15 feet and be responsible for opening and closing aircraft doors. They must be able to read and interpret aircraft loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, and cargo routing tags. Ensuring safe and secure operations in accordance with the highest standards of health, safety, security, and government regulations is paramount. The position may require driving specialized commercial vehicles, necessitating a valid driver's license with a clear record. Tasks must be performed according to company and airline policies, and mandatory training must be completed. Agents must be able to continuously lift customer luggage averaging 50 pounds, sometimes exceeding 70 pounds, and promote a professional image. Other duties may be assigned.
