About The Position

OHSU Casey Eye Institute is a premier academic medical center providing ophthalmology care and conducting research. The PAS Specialist provides administrative support to the Ophthalmic Imaging division, including patient care coordination, reception, scheduling, telephone coverage, and day-to-day clinic operations. This is a full-time, on-site position. The specialist supports the Imaging Department by checking in patients, verifying orders and insurance authorizations, scheduling appointments, processing referrals, mailing image CDs, and coordinating patient tracking to the hospital or emergency department. The position provides professional, timely customer service to patients, caregivers, referring providers, insurance carriers, OHSU clinicians, and staff. It also requires compliance with OHSU Hospitals and Clinics staff requirements. OHSU describes itself as Oregon’s only public academic health center and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds.
