About The Position

The Retail Parts Stockperson receives and verifies incoming orders and ensures that they are stocked and recorded according to dealership standards. The position supports parts department operations by organizing shipments and stock, preparing orders, maintaining records and storage areas, and assisting with department organization and upkeep.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet the company's requirements for employment.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• One year of experience in a dealership position.
• Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
• Ability to use a parts department computer system and calculator.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and verify the orders and quantities.
• Fill “will call” orders.
• Pick parts for counter salesmen.
• Maintain receiving and shipping records.
• Break out and organize shipments so they are ready for stocking.
• Assist in putting up stock.
• Assist with maintenance of bins and equipment.
• Assist with department arrangement, including moving bins as needed.
• Supervise returned parts and maintain a separate storage area for them.
• Keep bins, aisles, and storage areas clean and clearly labeled.
