About The Position

Altorfer Inc. is seeking a Parts Specialist for their Power Systems division. This role involves managing inventory, picking orders, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and organized. The specialist will utilize a computer system to look up part numbers and locations, complete daily paperwork, and assist with other assigned duties. The position requires a self-starter with strong organizational and customer service skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to handle general math calculations. Safety is paramount, requiring adherence to all safety rules and the use of proper safety equipment. The role may involve answering phones, operating a computer for parts lookup or emails, and occasional local travel for parts delivery.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to operate a standard forklift, manual pallet jack and other lift trucks in a safe but timely manner.
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning, and organizational skills with a commitment to detail.
  • Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer literate and proficient with programs such as Microsoft, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
  • Ability to follow all safety rules and wear proper safety equipment in the warehouse.
  • Must be able to handle general math calculations on money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic range of motion movements are needed such as: climb ladders, stairs, climbing on and off lift trucks, squatting, bending and twisting.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Responsibilities

  • Scan all incoming freight before properly storing inventory.
  • Complete order picking duties.
  • Complete daily paperwork.
  • Look up part numbers and location in computer system.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Answer phones and operate a computer to look up parts or send emails.
  • Occasional local travel may be required to deliver parts to customers.
