About The Position

The PSSR is an outside sales position in the Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) Industry and shall be responsible for growing the Trailer service, (Repair & Maintenance), Trailer parts sales, and Equipment sales for an assigned customer list, territory, and new contacts, while maintaining accurate market information within a CRM business system.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably within Thermo King, TRU, transportation, or fleet services environments
  • Entry-level candidates will be considered with a strong sales background.
  • Bachelor�s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and results-driven with the ability to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% to support the Northern California territory
  • Ability to cover multiple locations across Northern California, with occasional overnight travel as needed
  • Minimum 21 years of age with a valid, acceptable driver�s license

Responsibilities

  • Grow service, parts, and equipment sales within the assigned territory through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by researching prospects, making cold calls/visits, and executing territory plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies, gain insights, and drive business growth.
  • Effectively communicate and execute sales, marketing, and business initiatives related to HVAC, trailer, and reefer equipment.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market disruptions, and competitor strategies.
  • Establish and grow trusted customer relationships by aligning client needs with sales goals.
  • Consistently update and maintain accurate customer data, market intel, and activity reports in CRM.
  • Meet or exceed activity and performance targets through disciplined sales planning and execution.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, requiring frequent travel within the assigned territory.
  • Ensure safe vehicle operation, adherence to traffic laws, and compliance with equipment safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management in alignment with company goals.
