About The Position

Kendall Auto Group is seeking a Parts & Service Assistant for their Reconditioning facility. This role supports the internal dealer network by ensuring a steady supply of inspected, reconditioned, and lot-ready inventory for sales teams. The position involves working in both the parts and service departments, performing a variety of administrative and inventory management tasks.

Requirements

• Experience in parts and service departments
• Ability to work with PCs and video display screens
• Frequent use of telephone
• Standing/walking for short distances: 1/2 to entire work shift on hard surfaces
• Sitting: Up to 1/4 of work shift on high or low elevation stool or in vehicle
• Carrying: frequently, up to 20 pounds for up to 200 feet; rarely, up to 50 pounds for up to 20 feet
• Lifting: frequently, up to 20 pounds; rarely, up to 50 pounds
• Bending and twisting: occasionally, to access some storage areas
• Squatting/kneeling: occasionally, on hard and soft surfaces
• Climbing: rarely, ladders to six feet
• Reaching above shoulder height: occasionally
• Hearing and speech capability adequate to converse with clients in person and by telephone
• Sight adequate to locate and identify clients, perform duties, and identify shop conditions and hazards

Responsibilities

• Maintaining parts inventory
• Checking in freight
• Stocking shelves
• Assisting technicians with parts needs
• Processing order returns and parts warranties
• Writing repair orders
• Generating labor estimates on inspected vehicles
• Updating job lines
• Closing repair orders
• Performing various other clerical tasks
