About The Position
The Parts Runner/ Shop Assistant’s primary function is to pick up and deliver parts safely and promptly to the maintenance and repair shop. They will be responsible for making sure that technicians have parts ready before starting the maintenance or repair. They will accomplish objectives using inventory control, security and time management.
Requirements
- Ability to speak effectively one on one.
- Ability to listen effectively.
- Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
- Ability to communicate and interpret effectively.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in a parts center.
- High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities
- Pick up parts from various vendors.
- Assist the shop technician and provide required parts.
- Deliver parts to various body shops.
- Help organize and keep accountability of parts.
- Inventory of maintenance items daily.
- Moving and storing stock.
