Parts Runner
About The Position
The Parts Runner plays a vital role in supporting fleet maintenance operations by ensuring the timely pickup, transport, and delivery of parts, tools, and supplies to and from the parts room, shop floor, and outside vendors. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, verifying received shipments against purchase orders, and ensuring parts are safely stored or directly handed off to technicians to minimize downtime. Requires strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with shop personnel, service writers, internal teams, customers, and external vendors. The ideal candidate maintains professional relationships, promptly communicates order statuses or delivery delays, and works proactively to keep shop operations running efficiently.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must have basic knowledge of truck and trailer parts
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more

Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of experience in parts management, inventory control, or related field preferred.
- Experience in trucking, automotive, or mechanical environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the flow of parts deliveries
- Assures constant assistance to the parts department
- Ensures clear execution of parts orders
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department and shop
- Remove trash and dispose of boxes and other debris
- Assist with general shop housekeeping
