About The Position

The Parts Runner assists the parts and service departments by delivering parts to technicians and designated accounts, keeping parts department areas stocked and clean, and supporting vehicle movement and customer transportation as needed. The role also includes crating replaced parts cores for shipment to the manufacturer and performing other assigned duties.

Candidates must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, follow work rules and procedures, communicate effectively, and work as part of a team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Pre-employment screening includes motor vehicle records, drug screens, and background checks. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understand and follow work rules, policies, and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Meet the physical demands of the position, including regularly sitting, standing, and walking; occasionally climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; frequently lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds; and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Motor vehicle records, drug screens, and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist parts and service department personnel.
• Deliver parts to technicians.
• Ensure parts department areas are properly stocked.
• Assist the service department by moving vehicles as needed and delivering vehicles to other repair facilities for sublet repairs.
• Provide customers with rides to and from the dealership when required for vehicle service appointments.
• Pick up and/or deliver parts to designated accounts when instructed by the parts or service departments.
• Keep the parts department clean by disposing of used boxes and trash, sweeping floors, and dusting parts bins daily.
• Crate cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when a part has been replaced.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
