About The Position

Pacific Recycling, Inc., a family-owned scrap metal recycling facility, is hiring a friendly, reliable, and hard-working person to join its maintenance team. The Parts Runner/Shop Assistant drives a light-duty manual truck to pick up parts locally under the direction of the Parts Coordinator and Shop Manager, and assists with receiving and stocking inventory. This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week, with starting pay of $18 per hour.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 15 pounds regularly and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must communicate effectively in English to understand instructions and emergency communications.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background test.
• Must be reliable; good attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive a light-duty manual truck to pick up parts locally under the direction of the Parts Coordinator and Shop Manager.
• Assist with receiving inventory and entering inventory into the computer system.
• Unpack incoming merchandise, mark part numbers on articles, and stock items on shelves.
