About The Position

The Forklift Operator / Parts Runner is responsible for safely transporting materials throughout the facility and between company locations using forklifts and the company van. This position supports production by picking up and delivering parts, loading and unloading materials, maintaining accurate documentation, and following all safety requirements.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation.
• Ability to comply with and pass all required background check and drug screening requirements, including but not limited to pre-employment and random drug screening as required/requested.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and remain insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy
• Frequently lift-up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead.
• Work in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Manufacturing facility with exposure to moving equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of forklift experience is preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable with excellent attendance.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks without damaging materials.
• Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and materials using the company van.
• Verify shipments and deliveries against work orders and packing slips.
• Deliver materials to the appropriate production departments.
• Perform daily inspections of forklifts and the company vehicle.
• Maintain delivery logs and shipping documentation.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Assist shipping, receiving, and inventory as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
