Parts Room Clerk
About The Position
The Parts Room Clerk maintains cost-effective inventory control for materials and parts used by the Engineering Department, including ordering, receiving, inspecting, and accounting for inventory. The role requires competency in on-the-job activities that may directly or indirectly affect product safety, legality, or quality. The clerk maintains an orderly and clean parts storage and work area, follows company policies and procedures, and performs other duties as directed by supervision or management. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of experience as a Production Operator, or two or more years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer, mechanic, or operator, with experience ordering parts.
Responsibilities
- Process requests for parts and materials.
- Identify and order parts using parts manuals and/or catalogs.
- Receive, inspect, count, record, and store parts and materials.
- Maintain an orderly parts storage area.
- Maintain accurate and cost-effective inventory.
- Keep the work area clean.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety and work rules.
- Fulfill work schedules and adhere to attendance policies and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervision or deemed by management to be an integral part of the job.
