About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining inventory in the inventory tracking system and dispensing parts and tools to maintenance personnel as needed. The Parts Room Attendant will perform usage analysis, keep the parts room clean and orderly, and identify and monitor parts flow by parts numbers. This critical role ensures that maintenance inventory is accurate and readily available.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of parts room or inventory experience preferred
  • Proficient in SAP or other parts tracking program preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours
  • Willing and able to read inventory sheets, parts orders, email correspondences
  • Willing and able to write required information for ordering parts and email correspondences
  • Willing and able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to accurately inventory parts, reorder parts in correct quantities
  • Willing and able to work competently and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Willing and able to stand for up to 12 hours
  • Must reside in the United States
  • Flexibility of wrists and hands
  • Walking, bending, standing and some lifting required
  • Lifting of up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis and 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Willing and able to move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with mechanical device
  • More than 5 points on internal disqualifiers
  • No disciplinary actions within the last 30 days

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining inventory in inventory tracking system
  • Dispensing parts and tools to maintenance personnel as needed
  • Performing usage analysis
  • Keeping parts room clean and orderly
  • Identifying and monitoring parts flow by parts numbers
  • Receiving all maintenance parts
  • Delivering parts to maintenance personnel as needed
  • Ensuring and verifying documents versus actual item quantity received before capturing into the system
  • Reporting any variances to the Manager and taking corrective measures immediately
  • Ensuring all movement of store items are correct and accounted for and properly recorded in the system on a daily basis
  • Applying the concepts of FIFO in stock
  • Stocking inventory in parts room
  • Printing documentation on inventory replenishment
  • Prioritizing daily work with minimum supervision
  • Performing other assigned duties by supervision
  • Standing, sitting, bending, walking, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and reaching frequently overhead
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling 20-70 pounds individually, and/or with assistance frequently throughout the shift
  • Being certified in pallet jack and forklift operation
  • Performing essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
