About The Position

Bobcat of Grey Bruce is looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Parts & Rental Specialist to join our Owen Sound team. This full-time, permanent, Monday-to-Friday position supports our parts, rentals, and branch operations by helping customers, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating rentals, and working closely with our sales and service teams. At Bobcat of Grey Bruce, we serve contractors, builders, industrial clients, and homeowners with a commitment to quality, reliability, and service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in parts, rental coordination, customer service, or equipment dealership operations preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple priorities
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment and parts systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or industrial machinery
  • Familiarity with parts catalogs, quoting, invoicing, and inventory systems
  • Rental coordination or equipment dispatch experience
  • Basic knowledge of equipment operation and light maintenance
  • Experience working with service and sales teams in a dealership environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in person, by phone, and by email with parts inquiries
  • Fulfill over-the-counter parts needs, including identifying parts in catalogs and preparing quotes
  • Prepare invoices, process payments, and complete required documentation
  • Maintain organized parts inventory and storage areas
  • Place daily stock orders, receive incoming inventory, and monitor stock levels
  • Work closely with service and sales teams to support customer and operational needs
  • Book equipment rentals and obtain required customer information and documentation
  • Prepare rental equipment for delivery, including basic maintenance such as fluid checks, top-ups, and air filter changes
  • Contact customers regarding expiring warranty and discuss plan extension options
  • Assist with outbound sales and service call campaigns
  • Help around the yard as needed, including operating equipment after training
  • Support general branch housekeeping and related duties as required
