About The Position

Transwest is seeking a Parts Person to support warehouse operations and parts delivery. The position handles incoming and outgoing merchandise, inventory control, order processing, warehouse cleanliness and safety, and delivery and pickup of parts. The Parts Person works with inventory and logistics software, follows company procedures, communicates professionally with customers and coworkers, and reports maintenance or safety concerns to the Supervisor. This is an hourly position with a compensation range of $21.77 to $26.18 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; the role may require the ability to work any shift if needed. It reports to the Parts Manager and is open until filled.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record in good standing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer and data-entry skills, including computer efficiency.
Ability to multitask, resolve conflicts, and work independently.
Lift-truck certification and basic knowledge of warehousing equipment.
Ability to give, receive, and analyze information.
Ability to create and articulate goals and action plans.
Ability to successfully complete a general abilities assessment.
Ability to pass a post-offer background check, physical, and drug screen.
Ability to work any shift if needed.
Ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours.
Full range of motion, including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
Ability to stand, balance, bend, or stoop for prolonged periods.
Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
Occasional ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Welcome delivery trucks and ensure they are at a safe, secure point for loading or unloading.
Quarantine incoming materials for inspection and record impaired or damaged merchandise.
Validate product receipts, record posting references on packing slips, and post materials through the approved process.
Handle fragile merchandise carefully; label and stock merchandise by location, size, shape, and type.
Process requests and stock orders; pull and prepare orders for service, inter-company transfer, or shipping.
Tag, label, box, wrap, and pack outgoing merchandise according to relevant procedures.
Place outbound orders in appropriate areas for service, delivery, or shipping.
Maintain inventory controls, assist with accurate inventory counts, and perform inventory accuracy checks.
Keep shelves, pallet areas, workstations, and shipping supply areas neat and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Follow procedures, rules, regulations, and organizational quality standards.
Enter required information in inventory and logistics software and complete reports.
Deliver and pick up parts, including safely loading, securing, unloading, and staging materials.
Maintain knowledge of the area and basic knowledge of vehicles.
Greet others professionally and represent the company professionally.
Learn and educate others about policies and procedures related to purchases, returns, credit terms, and other relevant topics.
Communicate, resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions.
Share maintenance and safety concerns with the Supervisor.
Stock and deliver parts; perform warehouse duties including dirty core maintenance.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
