About The Position

Great Western Trailer (GWT) is hiring a full-time Parts Manager to lead the Parts Department at our Phoenix, AZ facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of parts operations, including purchasing, inventory control, vendor management, and customer support. The ideal candidate will ensure timely parts availability for internal service teams and walk-in customers while driving departmental efficiency, profitability, and service excellence.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in parts management (trailer, automotive, or heavy equipment preferred).
  • Proven success in inventory control, vendor negotiations, and team leadership.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable using inventory software and Microsoft Office programs.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Additional education is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day parts operations including ordering, inventory control, and over-the-counter sales.
  • Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate parts department staff.
  • Ensure timely and accurate parts support for service repairs and customer inquiries.
  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stock.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
  • Handle parts returns, warranty claims, and track inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Maintain precise documentation for parts transactions and inventory records.
  • Coordinate with the service department to forecast and fulfill parts needs.
  • Track department KPIs and implement strategies to achieve monthly targets.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and OSHA guidelines.
