Parts Manager - Construction Industries
About The Position
Mustang Cat is hiring a Parts Manager – Construction Industries to oversee daily operations for Houston Parts Counter Sales, Exchange Department, Satellite Branch Sales, Export, Will-Call, Parts On Site, Customer Solutions, and related clerical functions. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational performance, customer satisfaction, employee development, and departmental profitability across multiple parts operations functions. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or operations management
- Strong leadership experience managing people, inventory, and operational processes
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and database systems
- Ability to analyze financial statements and understand accounting principles
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience within heavy equipment, industrial, or dealership operations
- Knowledge of Caterpillar parts systems and operational processes
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations for Parts Counter Sales, Exchange, Export, Will-Call, Satellite Branch Sales, Parts On Site, and Customer Solutions teams
- Define department budgets, goals, and operational objectives
- Determine staffing and manpower levels to support operational needs
- Support employee development through training, evaluations, coaching, and resources
- Monitor department profitability and operational performance metrics
- Oversee department data processing and operational reporting functions
- Promote exceptional customer service and customer satisfaction across all operational areas
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Partner with internal departments to improve operational efficiency and workflow consistency
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
