Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in parts management or inventory control within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Proven track record of successfully managing a team and overseeing parts operations.
Experience in developing and implementing inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory tracking and management.
Proficient in using inventory management software and systems.
Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with suppliers, customers, and team members.
Problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues related to parts supply and inventory discrepancies.
Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to parts management and inventory control.

Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control, order processing, and customer service.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve parts availability.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of parts.
Collaborate with other departments, such as service and sales, to forecast parts demand and align inventory with business needs.
Oversee the parts ordering process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in order placement and fulfillment.
Train, supervise, and evaluate parts department staff, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Monitor and analyze parts sales and inventory data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all parts department activities.
Implement and maintain effective record-keeping systems for inventory management and sales tracking.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction with parts availability and quality.
