Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in parts management or inventory control within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a team and overseeing parts operations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory tracking and management.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with suppliers, customers, and team members.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues related to parts supply and inventory discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to parts management and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control, order processing, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve parts availability.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as service and sales, to forecast parts demand and align inventory with business needs.
  • Oversee the parts ordering process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in order placement and fulfillment.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate parts department staff, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Monitor and analyze parts sales and inventory data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all parts department activities.
  • Implement and maintain effective record-keeping systems for inventory management and sales tracking.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction with parts availability and quality.
