The Branch Parts Manager, under the supervision of the Branch Manager, is responsible for maintaining, sustaining, and increasing customer service levels to meet budget goals.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from a two-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Ability to sit.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull and /or otherwise move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor parts sales representative daily quote activity to ensure follow-up on open quotes.
  • Provide training for all parts personnel on sales products and company knowledge.
  • Develop and implement follow-up sales programs for marketing various items.
  • Develop sales programs for specific competitive truck users to sell alternate parts at competitive pricing.
  • Develop sales programs for the road service force to sell targeted lift truck parts and allied products.
  • Review stock orders of non-Hyster items.
  • Monitor management reports daily.
  • Manage obsolescence and consignment inventories.
  • Research and process customer orders.
  • File parts warranties.
  • Process vendor returns/credits.
  • Process service department requests for parts.
  • Manage physical inventory count process and conduct audits.
  • Approve invoices for processing.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for parts sales representatives.
  • Recruit and train new parts sales representatives.
  • Keep records of parts in stock and parts issued to customers.
  • Manage Truck Stock Replenishment for Technicians.
  • Prepare budget estimates for parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
