About The Position

The Team Lead, Parts is responsible for managing the physical flow of parts at the site — receiving daily shipments, stocking, picking parts for repair orders, organizing the parts room, and managing returns. Works closely with the AGM on stocking levels and ordering, but owns the day-to-day execution of parts operations at the location. Success in this role is measured by critical performance indicators, including maintaining high parts availability and pick accuracy, ensuring inventory accuracy, optimizing receiving timeliness, minimizing parts-related technician downtime, ensuring returns processing timeliness, and keeping site-level shrinkage at a minimum.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and systems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining compliance with safety and OEM standards.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUI’s in the last three years

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily parts operations — receiving, stocking, picking, and staging parts for scheduled and same-day work
  • Ensure parts are ready and staged before technicians need them; minimize tech downtime waiting for parts
  • Maintain parts room organization and inventory accuracy
  • Execute the returns process for unused or incorrect parts
  • Manage the wholesale counter (if applicable)
  • Lead and schedule Parts Associates; ensure coverage during all operating hours
  • Communicate parts availability issues to the Service Manager and AGM proactively
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation
