Requirements

  • Requires a working knowledge of drawings, assembly techniques used and different products manufactured.
  • Pass and maintain certificate required to operate appropriate material handling equipment as required by lease agreement and/or State/Federal codes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and make decisions as to work priority, methods and procedures within established system.
  • May assume normal operation of a storeroom with minimum higher level instructions. Includes filling requisitions promptly and assigning locations for stock.
  • Evaluate and report workload to supervisor.
  • Count and check material received in storeroom to check inventory records, distribute received materials in bins, containers or piles in storage area.
  • Detect and report defective material, report shortages or low stock.
  • Creates Parts Kits for various Manufacturing Departments as required.
  • Control and record all activity of purchased material stages in the storeroom.
  • Perform necessary transactions to relieve inventory and process production documentation in SAP or other network system.
  • Receive, may unload and move incoming shipments of merchandise, and keep records pertaining thereto.
  • Compare quality and identification numbers of merchandise against orders and assure packing list quantities match that which has been received.
  • Open wooden and cardboard containers for packing list and inspection.
  • Verify receipt of shipments against bills of lading, invoices, or other records.
  • Requires a working knowledge of drawings, assembly techniques used and different products manufactured.
  • Operate hand or power vehicles and overhead crane in performance of duties.
  • Pass and maintain certificate required to operate appropriate material handling equipment as required by lease agreement and/or State/Federal codes.
  • Maintain necessary time, quality, quantity and other records.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards.
  • May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen events, 5S programs and problem solving exercises.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures and JHRA’s.
