About The Position
Finning Canada is seeking a Parts Journeyperson in Acheson to provide on-site support to our customer. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and advice, identifying and sourcing parts, and inspecting and processing cores and parts returns. The Parts Journeyperson will be dedicated to the customer's site, processing customer orders, managing back orders, and providing updates. They will also support parts orders from local shops and other facilities, assist with standard Bills Of Materials, and serve as the first point of contact for piece parts orders.
Requirements
- Journeyperson parts certification
- Previous parts, warehouse, front counter, sales experience
- Caterpillar product knowledge
- High performance, positive attitude
- Ability to build and maintain respectful working relationships
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and potentially unhappy customers
- Enthusiasm about their work
- Ability to function effectively and purposefully in a dynamic environment
- Capable of working with minimal supervision
- Computer literacy with applicable software knowledge
- Shop parts experience
- Must become a member of the Union associated with this position
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SIS, AIMS, Antares, SIMSi, InfoCast, Lawson M3, Landmark Smart Office, M3 Sales Automation
- Industry experience in mining, heavy construction and technology products
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders
- Source and order parts
- Inspect and process customer parts returns and cores
- Manage back orders and provide daily updates to customers
- Provide exceptional customer service and collaboration with all facets of client’s organization
- Support parts orders from the local shop and from customer operations in other facilities
- Support the customer with standard Bills Of Materials for work in the shop
- Act as the first point of contact for the customer to inquire on piece parts orders
