About The Position

NACG is looking for a Journeyperson Welder to work at our Acheson Shop location. This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region. For this role, NACG offers a combined gross rate of up to $59.90/hour as well as room for growth! The position involves completing repairs on mining equipment, including Haul Trucks, Excavators, Shovels, and Dozers (CAT/Hitachi/Komatsu). Responsibilities include developing a work scope, fabricating from blueprints, completing reports and work orders, teaching and evaluating apprentices, and following NACG codes of practice and safety procedures.

Requirements

1-2 years experience working on heavy equipment (CAT/Hitachi/Komatsu)
Journeyperson Welder ticket
First Aid
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
Intermediate computer skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Self motivated
Willingness to learn
Show leadership skills
Provide a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a recent Driver’s Abstract
Undergo and successfully pass pre-employment testing including: Breath Alcohol Test, Urine Drug Test, Fitness-to-Work Assessment, Audiometric Testing, Vision Screening, Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities
