About The Position

The Parts Driver selects, verifies, and delivers parts to customers and/or other dealerships within the general prescribed market area of local parts departments. The role involves customer and associate service, coordinating pickups and deliveries, pulling and filling orders, checking invoices and purchase orders, handling parts and equipment, and keeping delivery paperwork and schedules moving promptly and efficiently. The position requires lifting up to and over 50 pounds. Automotive parts experience or equivalent military experience is a plus but is not required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Must be able to lift up to and over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and associates in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Before leaving, coordinate last-minute pickups or deliveries with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter staff, or shipping and receiving clerk.
• Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Pull and fill orders from stock as directed.
• Ensure delivered parts match the invoice and verify that the invoice matches the purchase order for each pickup.
• Secure and unload the parts truck each night.
• Assist with stocking and posting incoming orders to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
• Maintain a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork and the delivery schedule.
