About The Position
Leman Automotive Group is looking for a Parts Counterperson to join their Peoria team. They are a family-owned automotive group serving Central Illinois since 1963, with 13 dealerships and nearly 700 employees, offering career growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has automotive parts experience, enjoys assisting customers and technicians, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous automotive parts experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Professional and dependable
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Assist customers and technicians with locating and ordering the correct parts
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
- Work with the Parts Manager to source parts that are not currently in stock
- Complete special-order requests for customers
- Communicate with customers regarding parts availability and order status
- Maintain accurate inventory and organized parts areas
- Provide friendly and professional service to customers and dealership staff
- Follow company safety policies and procedures
