About The Position

Busy Acura automotive dealership looking for highly motivated self-starters to join our team-orientated Acura Parts department as a Counterperson. Ideal candidates for this position are team-oriented with a focus on providing their customers with the best possible service 100% of the time. Candidates must be self-motivated and enjoy working independently and with a team.

Requirements

  • 1 year CDK experience
  • 1 year parts counterperson experience
  • General knowledge of inventory systems and vehicle systems & components is required.
  • Able to work Saturdays
  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license and possess a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Track incoming and outgoing parts inventory for the dealership.
  • Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to pre-arranged systems.
  • Receive and fill telephone orders for parts customers.
  • Fill customer orders from stock or locate & order available parts when the dealership is out of stock.
  • Package & ship parts to customers or back to the manufacturer and complete the appropriate recordkeeping.
  • Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.
  • Refer to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) in order to determine exactly the right part/s or replacement part/s for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced.
  • Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
