Parts Counterperson - CAT Dealership
About The Position
Wiese USA is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join their parts department at their material handling equipment dealership in Lafayette, IN. The role involves purchasing, storing, inventorying, and issuing spare parts for industrial equipment, serving both external customers and internal Service Technicians. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and strong communication abilities. Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, crouch and twist
Nice To Haves
- Experience in inventory management strongly preferred
- 1-2 years related experience (construction equipment dealership, farm equipment dealership, etc.) strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude/background preferred
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and purchasing parts (sourcing without VINs)
- Consulting with customers in both a sales and advisory capacity and providing them with all needed parts
- Ensuring that all parts are fully stocked
- Keeping Service Technicians supplied with all necessary parts
- Conducting regular inventory counts
- Assuming responsibility for all duties related to shipping and receiving of parts
- Performing record management on a regular basis
- Handling all returns and warranty issues
