About The Position

The Parts Counterperson assists customers in selecting the correct automotive parts in person or over the phone. The role involves identifying part numbers, checking inventory, placing special orders when needed, providing price quotes, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. The position also supports service technicians with their parts needs.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with alternating Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Compensation starts at $700 per week, with the ability to earn $3,500 to $5,000 per year in bonuses. Requirements

• Prior parts counter experience; OEM or aftermarket experience preferred.
• Ability to identify part numbers.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in customers.
• Answer incoming calls and provide price quotes.
• Set up orders, deliveries, and pick-ups.
• Pull purchased parts from stock.
• Assist service technicians with their parts needs.
• Verify will-call orders and back orders weekly.
• Order parts that are not in stock and notify the Service department about special-order parts.
