About The Position

The Parts Counterperson is responsible for assisting customers and service department personnel with the selection, ordering, and distribution of automotive parts. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely communication, and a high level of customer service at all parts counters and through phone interactions. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Proficient in basic math skills

Nice To Haves

Two years related experience and/or training preferred
Prior General Motors experience preferred
Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Assist all customers (retail and internal shop) in selecting and locating required parts in a professional and efficient manner.
Respond to phone inquiries, providing pricing, availability, and product information.
Process parts orders for shipment, delivery, or pickup in an accurate and timely manner.
Notify the Parts Manager of any out-of-stock items or urgent inventory needs.
Communicate with Service Advisors and customers regarding the arrival of special-order parts.
Replenish assigned inventory and maintain accurate stock levels.
Maintain clean, organized, and professional front and rear counter areas.
Assist with inventory counts and basic inventory control processes.
Participate in required training and development programs.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to parts sales.
Support overall department efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings.
Maintain professional and courteous attitude, wardrobe, and grooming.
Other tasks as assigned.
