About The Position

Toyota Carlsbad's award-winning Parts Department is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Parts Counter person to join their team. In this role, you'll be the go-to resource for both customers and technicians, helping them find the right parts while delivering exceptional service with every interaction. The Parts Counter person is responsible for assisting technicians and customers with parts inquiries and sales, both in person and over the phone. This position plays a critical role in supporting our service operations and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of automotive parts experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • Personal values that align with our core values of Integrity, Teamwork, Innovation, Respect, and Excellence.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Toyota dealership experience preferred but not required.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with dealership management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers and technicians in identifying and selecting the correct parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Recommend related products, companion parts, and current promotions to provide complete solutions.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, providing pricing, availability, and product information with exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of repair orders, invoices, special orders, and insurance estimates.
  • Coordinate parts orders for shipment, delivery, or customer pick-up.
  • Build and maintain relationships with assigned accounts through outbound communication.
  • Support both internal and external customers with a high level of responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming parts counter and work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
