Lucky’s Truck & Trailer Sales – Dimmick Peterbilt Group is seeking a Parts Counter Sales Representative for their Albany, NY location. This is a full-time, hourly position. The company has been a leading truck and trailer sales, supply, and repair organization in the Northeast for over 40 years, representing respected names in the industry. This role is crucial in keeping trucks and trailers safe, reliable, and on the road, supporting the supply chains and communities that depend on them.
Requirements
- Experience as a Parts Counter Sales Representative
- Ability to assist customers in selecting parts
- Ability to provide accurate price quotes
- Ability to pull and fill orders from stock
- Ability to receive payment and process charge sales
- Ability to issue credit for returned parts
- Ability to verify will-call and back-order files
- Ability to ensure internal requests for parts are billed
- Ability to set up orders for shipment, delivery, or pickup
- Ability to notify management of out-of-stock parts
Responsibilities
- Assist all customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner based on customer needs.
- Inform customers of companion part requirements, specials, and ensure they are aware of the full product line.
- Provide accurate price quotes.
- Pull and fill orders from stock.
- Assist Outside Sales Representatives with their orders.
- Receive payment from retail customers.
- Ensure all charge sales are signed by the customer.
- Issue credit for parts returned verifying original purchase and pricing.
- Verify will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
- Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
- Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup.
- Participate with Parts Manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
- Notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
