About The Position

Berman Subaru of Chicago is hiring a Parts Counter Sales Associate in Chicago, Illinois. The role supports customers and service technicians in finding automotive parts and accessories, managing inventory and orders, handling transactions and inquiries, and coordinating with the service department. Requirements

• Prior experience working with parts in a dealership setting is required.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical information clearly to customers and team members.
• Comfort using inventory management systems and POS platforms, and applying basic retail math.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, particularly in stock control and order accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional approach.

• Valid driver’s license is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers and service technicians find the right parts and accessories accurately and efficiently.
• Answer questions and provide guidance on basic vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Organize inventory by stocking, tracking, and fulfilling orders through inventory systems.
• Handle transactions and phone inquiries professionally and with attention to detail.
• Coordinate with the service department to ensure parts are ordered and delivered on time.
• Contribute to sales goals through product knowledge and customer service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace.
