About The Position

The Parts Counter Representative assists customers purchasing parts at the counter or by telephone. The role orders, receives, stores, and distributes equipment parts for customers and the service department, while maintaining accurate purchase documentation and inventory records.

Requirements

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.

Responsibilities

• Complete purchase orders and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Use industry data, including manuals and electronic data, to identify parts customers need and provide diagnostic assistance.
• Contact vendors to order parts.
• Review invoices to verify that received parts match those ordered on the original requisition forms.
• Store parts in designated areas and issue them to the service department or customers as needed.
• Maintain records of parts received and distributed, and periodically inventory warehouse parts.
