Requirements

  • College or technical school certificate preferred, or 3–6 months of related experience (or equivalent combination).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Able to read instructions and manuals, write basic reports, and clearly communicate with customers and team members.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and lift regularly (up to 25 lbs ), frequently (up to 50 lbs ), and occasionally over 100 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE or Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist retail and shop customers with selecting parts, providing product information, quotes, and guidance on companion items and specials.
  • Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers with a professional, friendly approach.
  • Pull, fill, and prepare orders; set up shipments, deliveries, and pick-ups; ensure all internal requests are billed correctly.
  • Manage inventory issues; notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock items, locate parts from outside sources, and submit emergency orders when needed.
  • Follow up on backordered or special-order parts with customers and service advisors.
  • Support outside sales representatives and solicit assigned accounts by phone.
  • Handle transactions, including payments, credit authorizations, issuing returns, and ensuring accurate invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special orders.
  • Keep counter areas and equipment clean, participate in training programs, and stay current on product updates.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow all health and safety policies.
