About The Position

Transport Refrigeration Services is hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Clerk to join our growing team in Johnstown, NY. This role supports the service shop by ensuring efficient ordering, stocking, and management of parts. The ideal candidate has experience in automotive or heavy-duty truck parts, preferably in a dealership or fleet maintenance setting.

Requirements

• Previous experience with automotive or heavy-duty truck parts (dealership experience a plus)
• Forklift certified (or willing to obtain certification)
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid, clean driver’s license
• Willingness to travel for occasional training
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent attention to detail and a team-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Order parts from preferred vendors
• Create purchase orders and manage invoices
• Receive, stock, and organize parts inventory
• Maintain bin locations and inventory levels
• Conduct cycle counts and full inventory audits
• Support technicians by supplying necessary parts
• Handle parts returns, warranty claims, and slow-moving inventory
• Operate a forklift to load/unload parts
• Keep the parts department clean and organized
• Answer calls and deliver outstanding customer service
• Perform other shop support tasks as assigned
