This role is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment according to autonomous maintenance (AM) standards, improving line and/or system performance, and executing standard work processes. The individual will ensure safety and quality assurance activities are performed, understand and report losses in their area, and contribute to safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets. The Parts Clerk specifically ensures personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed. They receive and check shipments, confer with suppliers, and maintain records. This role directly issues parts to work orders or places them in the parts room, contacts vendors for price bids, prepares requisitions, and obtains purchase order numbers. They barcode inventory, assemble kits, fill orders, and issue parts to mechanics. Responsibilities also include conducting cycle counts and physical inventories, assisting maintenance staff with parts and equipment knowledge, aiding in the bakery change management process, identifying areas for improvement in spending and stock turnover, and maintaining a clean, secure, and organized parts storage area.
