Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn parts catalogs and dealership systems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and stay professional during busy periods.
  • A team-oriented attitude and willingness to take direction.
  • Ability to handle the physical duties of receiving, stocking, and moving automotive parts, with reasonable accommodation as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive parts or dealership experience is a plus.
  • GM parts experience is a plus.
  • Tekion experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers: Help retail and wholesale customers identify and order the correct parts and accessories.
  • Support our service team: Work with technicians and service advisors to locate, order, and provide parts for vehicle repairs.
  • Look up parts accurately: Use electronic parts catalogs and vehicle information to verify fitment and availability.
  • Process transactions: Prepare quotes, invoices, and parts orders accurately using the dealership management system.
  • Receive and stock inventory: Check incoming shipments, report discrepancies, and place parts in their assigned locations.
  • Track special orders: Monitor orders and backorders, communicate updates, and notify the appropriate customer or team member when parts arrive.
  • Assist with inventory control: Participate in inventory counts and help identify misplaced, damaged, or incorrect stock.
  • Handle returns: Assist with customer and manufacturer returns according to department procedures.
  • Keep the department organized: Maintain clean counters, shelves, and storage areas while following safe handling practices.
  • Work as a team: Help coworkers and communicate with the Parts Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly.
