Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Must have a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to submit to a Background Check and Drug Screen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with auto parts sales preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers and internal team members with parts inquiries, availability, and product recommendations.
  • Track and provide updates on order progress, shipping status, and expected arrival dates.
  • Coordinate the preparation of parts orders for customer pickup, local delivery, or carrier shipment.
  • Verify parts listed on collision repair estimates to ensure accuracy and proper pricing.
  • Process retail transactions, collect payments, and secure necessary credit approvals.
  • Accurately locate, retrieve, and distribute parts from inventory to fulfill customer and service department needs.
  • Research and identify parts using electronic catalogs, manufacturer resources, and inventory systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels through routine cycle counts and stock audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Alert management when inventory shortages or critical shop supplies require replenishment.
  • Source hard-to-find components through approved vendors and arrange expedited purchases when necessary.
  • Ensure parts issued to service operations are documented and charged to the appropriate repair orders.
  • Handle inbound calls and respond to customer requests regarding pricing, availability, and product information.
  • Build positive relationships by delivering exceptional service to both dealership personnel and retail customers.
  • Maintain compliance with manufacturer requirements for warranty parts processing, tagging, and returns.
  • Support the overall organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the parts department.
  • Collaborate effectively with technicians, advisors, vendors, and customers to ensure timely order fulfillment.
